Course Curriculum
The course is structured across 12 weeks (3 months), with 2 sessions per week, each lasting approximately 60–90 minutes.
Week 1–2 Foundation & Materials
- Introduction to oil paints — types, consistency, and quality
- Understanding your canvas: priming and surface preparation
- Brushes and tools — selection, care, and technique
- Color theory: primary, secondary, and complementary colors
- First practice: basic strokes and color mixing exercise
Week 3–4 Underpainting & Layering
- Monochromatic underpainting (grisaille technique)
- Wet-on-wet vs. wet-on-dry layering approaches
- Building form and volume through tonal values
- Introduction to glazing for depth and luminosity
- Practice project: Basic still life (fruit / objects)
Week 5–7 Landscape Painting
- Skies: clouds, sunset, and atmospheric perspective
- Painting trees, foliage, and greenery
- Water reflections and ripple effects
- Light and shadow in outdoor scenes
- Complete landscape project (countryside/seascape)
Week 8–10 Still Life & Composition
- Principles of composition — rule of thirds, golden ratio
- Painting textures: glass, ceramic, metal, and fabric
- Advanced color mixing — neutrals, shadows, highlights
- Palette knife techniques for impasto effects
- Final still life project
Week 11–12 Final Project & Exhibition
- Student chooses an original composition to execute

She dedicated over 25 years as a teacher, school principal, and coordinator in reputed senior secondary institutions across Delhi. As a certified Art Therapist, she uses creative expression to help people heal, grow, and discover their potential.
